Ryan Smith, a member of the CertTech engineering team, achieved National Instruments Certified Professional Instructor (CPI) status. National Instruments Certified Professional Instructors are qualified both technically and instructionally to provide training in a clear, articulate manner to adult learners. Certified Professional Instructors have passed evaluations based on instructor competencies published by the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance, and Instruction. Ryan is also a Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) and joins Larry Detherage, who is a Certified TestStand Developer (CTD), as individuals with National Instruments certifications on the CertTech team.

Test Automation Software

CertTech is primarily a service organization, and developing test software and testing tools is what we do best. CertTech can develop test automation software in any of several languages. We commonly use LabWindowsCVI™, Visual Basic and Visual C++, but our engineers have experience in many different languages.

Our engineers are experienced, innovative, and disciplined. Our personnel follow our quality management system processes. Project teams tailor the CertTech process to meet the needs of each customer and regulatory environment. Members of a project team follow the projects coding standards, review process, documentation standards, and qualification testing plan that ensures the software quality needed for high reliability testing. These process and plans are customized for your needs, but are created by a tailoring process deriving form our core process, training, and skills. The combination of creativity, tailored processes and disciplined execution produces results that are effective, repeatable, and maintainable.

Test Automation Software Tool Development

CertTech’s principal business plan is to develop and use software tools that automatically generate traceable test documentation to facilitate Verification Testing and Validation demonstrations. We create new tools and adapt tools on a continual basis. If commercially available tools or our current custom tools cannot support a new testing need, we will adapt existing tools or create new tools or to support our client’s testing needs.

Simulation Capability

A key strength of CertTech is the ability to create data representations or simulations of physical hardware and software external to the product or software under development. We have developed simulators of complex avionics systems and can develop this capability for both embedded and client/server applications. These simulators are controllable from test scripting languages extending the testing capability replicating the operational environment.
