Ryan Smith, a member of the CertTech engineering team, achieved National Instruments Certified Professional Instructor (CPI) status. National Instruments Certified Professional Instructors are qualified both technically and instructionally to provide training in a clear, articulate manner to adult learners. Certified Professional Instructors have passed evaluations based on instructor competencies published by the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance, and Instruction. Ryan is also a Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) and joins Larry Detherage, who is a Certified TestStand Developer (CTD), as individuals with National Instruments certifications on the CertTech team.

Independent Verification Services

CertTech uses Test, Inspection, Analysis, and Audit techniques as part of our Verification and Validation support process.

Test

This is a key competency of the CertTech staff. We have significant experience in the creation and execution of test cases to ensure that software meets its requirements. We commonly use Black Box, White Box and Gray Box testing techniques to ensure requirements coverage and defect detection.

Reviews and Inspections

We use review and inspection techniques to detect document and code errors. CertTech uses a structured technique, which focuses on defined review criteria. Defects are identified, classified, and entered as problem reports or a person responsible for corrective action and follow-up is assigned. The result is a closed-loop system where the root cause of defects is identified and correction is assured.

Analysis

CertTech’s analysis techniques include quantitative analysis, comparative analysis, computer simulation and modeling. Analysis techniques are used in those cases where testing is not repeatable, feasible or cost effective.

Auditing

CertTech’s capabilities include process compliance and regulatory compliance auditing. Regulatory requirements as well as industry best practices for auditing product development and verification and validation activities are under the oversight of our ASQ Certified Quality Manger.

Verification Training

CertTech can provide training for your staff on any of the test, inspection, analysis or auditing techniques and methodologies. We have also provided test script development training modules for offshore software developers and can provide the same services for your operation.
