Ryan Smith, a member of the CertTech engineering team, achieved National Instruments Certified Professional Instructor (CPI) status. National Instruments Certified Professional Instructors are qualified both technically and instructionally to provide training in a clear, articulate manner to adult learners. Certified Professional Instructors have passed evaluations based on instructor competencies published by the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance, and Instruction. Ryan is also a Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) and joins Larry Detherage, who is a Certified TestStand Developer (CTD), as individuals with National Instruments certifications on the CertTech team.

About CertTech

How We Started

CertTech was founded in 1999 with the purpose of providing software test solutions and experienced personnel capable of performing verification & validation of software used in safety or mission critical applications. The name CertTech is short for Cert-ification Tech-nologies. This reflects the needs of our customers to certify their software in government-regulated environments. The primary goal is to reduce our customers’ software development time & costs by providing Early and Continuous Software Design Performance Assessment.

Our Experience

We have extensive software development and test experience, with over 100 years of combined experience testing mission-critical products using computer automation. Nearly all of our collective experience is in government regulated industries, primarily in avionics. In addition, many of our people have Department of Energy (DOE) weapons systems experience, with over 40 years combined at DOE prime contractors and national laboratories.

Our Goals

Our goal is to help our customers compress their product development schedule and provide certification evidence in regulated industries. To do so we typically work in close partnership with a company's hardware and software development teams at an early stage in a new product's development phase. Some of the areas in which we can provide assistance are as follows:
